Christmas 2009

Better late than never, I always say...especially when it comes to blog posts.  Here is a little recap of our Christmas this year:

Christmas Eve
It snowed, and snowed this year on Christmas Eve!! We spent the day in McKinney with Nick's family. It was a lovely mix of last minute shopping and lazing around watching Christmas movies. Dalton and his cousin Korbin both got four-wheelers from Nana and Papa, and they had an absolute blast driving those things in the snow!! We had an unconventional, but festive Christmas (Eve) dinner at Dos Charros - no complaints here :) By nighttime, the snow had turned into ice and freezing rain, but we all braved the weather and attended Christmas Eve service at our church. Then we hurried home to our jammies and cozy beds so that Santa wouldn't pass us by...

Christmas Morning!!!

The Day After Christmas a.k.a. "The After Party"
The kids continued to enjoy their four wheelers from Nana and Pop.  We all had a nice big fancy meal hosted at our house this year!  Then the adults had lots of laughs playing Trivial Pursuit (battle of the sexes) and taking turns at karaoke in the living room.

Macy enjoyed all the costume changes she had over these three days.  But I think this dress was her favorite!
What would family pictures be without someone closing their eyes?  It was my boys this time.
