Thankful and Tired

I can not believe another Thanksgiving has come and gone ALREADY!! It seems like every year the holidays creep up on me and then are over just as quickly as they came. We had a wonderful Turkey Day at my Aunt Meg's house this year with my Mom and the extended family on her side...wonderful food, excellent Cowboy's game and we even got some SNOW!!! Anyone who know me well knows that that is just about as perfect as Thanksgiving can get for me. Thank you Auntie Meg for hosting this year, and to everyone who contributed to the feast...it was amazing!

My Mom lives with my Grandad...her Mom (my Mimi) passed away in '01. My Grandad keeps her picture in the living room where he can always see it. Every time we go to Grandad's house, Dalton goes straight to the table with Mimi's picture on it to say hi...he gives her picture a kiss, then just looks at her and talks. It is one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. It's like he knows her. It makes me miss her so much, I know she and Dalton would absolutely love each other.

We got to stay a night with my Mom and Grandad, then headed north to Edmond, OK to spend some time with my Dad's side of the family. Nick and Dalton got to meet my Grammy for the very first time. We got to see Aunt Marsha, Gaylord, April, Nate, Andrea, Jackson and Olivia. Aunt Marsha - your new home is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay with you guys...thanks again for everything. Dalton had so much fun that he literally refused to sleep while we were there. It was a 24 hour party for that little guy.

Dalton eating a corn dog on the road - at 8:00am - like Father like Son!

Saturday we headed back South, but stopped for the night in McKinney to spend the night with KP and Jammi. Dalton and Korbin needed some cousin time and the adults were itching to play some cards. I only managed to get a couple of pictures of the boys playing together...actually they were fighting most of the time over who got to Swiffer the floors. Jammi and I are lucky to have little boys who want to help out around the house so much! Korbin sure seems to love his Uncle Nick, they are very sweet together. Jammi - thank you for being such a gracious hostess to us even though you're DND with that pneumonia!

We finally got home on Sunday afternoon, unpacked our bags, got Dalton to bed and were asleep by 8:30. What a weekend.
