Joey

Our family dog Joey has fallen ill and he needs your prayers! Last Friday night he began vomiting and having diarrhea. It continued all weekend and into the morning today. Dalton and I rushed him to the vet first thing this morning...it was so sad, Dalton cried out for his Joey as they were taking him back to be treated. We left Joey for the day and the vet has been calling me giving me updates throughout the day. With every call the news has gotten worse and worse. Everything they have tried to do to make him better has failed...his condition seems to have worsened over the course of the day. Not good. The last resort is to "hospitalize" him, which just means they put him on IV fluids and monitor him overnight. They said if he is going to get better, he will show progress within 24 hours. Otherwise we will have to decide how long (and how much) we are willing to spend hoping that his condition will improve. Our bill for the first 24 hours is already in excess of $900...(there goes Christmas!)

I know he is a dog, not a person, but he is a member of our family and we love him very much. He is Dalton's brother and buddy, and Dalton has asked about his Joey at least a hundred times today. Please keep the little guy (and financial provision) in your prayers.
