Bye bye blondie
Last week I decided it was doing way too much damage to my wallet and my hair to have it hilighted every 6 weeks. Since I haven't seen my natural hair color in close to 10 years, I decided to try "going back to my roots", so to speak. So I went to the salon and went brown. AAHHH!! It's starting to grow on me, but it feels very different. I will most likely get hilights again soon, but it's alright for a change I guess.
The past week has been absolutely crazy! We were having new wood floors put in at the house, so we had to move out for a few days while they were getting the job done. As it turned out, Nick was sent to Austin for work on Wednesday and the rest of us joined him Wednesday night. From there we went to Dallas on Friday to attend my 10 year class reunion. We ended up being too exhausted Friday night to do much, so we hung out at Jammi and KP's and played some cards. It was good times, as always and we owe a big thanks to Nana for taking care of Dubbs all weekend...you're the BEST, Mom. Dalton hasn't stopped talking about how much fun he had with Nana and Grandad Pete.
Saturday we headed to Aledo to see Nolan's football game. What a treat for Dalton! He had a blast playing with his cousins and running around wild at the stadium. Nolan's team won 30-6...
Saturday night Nick and I got dolled up and went to my reunion. We met up with Lisa before hand and, after circling around downtown Dallas for about 45 minutes, we finally found where we were going. I'm so ashamed to say that I took zero pictures with my camera. BUT - I posed for bunch with other people's cameras, so if anyone got any good shots you're willing to share, please email them to me! We had a great night catching up with Amy & Wes, Devon & Jamie, Lisa, Jenny and many many more.
Lisa, Devon and Me
Before leaving Dallas on Sunday, we stopped at Lisa's mom's house to see Samantha, Lisa's 4-month-old baby girl. She is so precious and she even let Dalton give her a hug and a kiss. I really hope we get to see Lisa and Samantha again very soon!
We arrived back home on Sunday afternoon and our floors look absolutely beautiful! We are very pleased with them. Only problem is the dust that seems to be everywhere! We working on getting the house put back together and cleaning up, because...Nana is coming to visit tomorrow, acutally she'll be here for work, but we'll get to play a little bit I hope!!
