Family is good, and Dalton is still bald!

So it's been over a week since I last posted and here's why: Almost two weeks ago, my sister Christy called me from Florida (where she lives) and said she wanted to get away and come stay with us for a few days. She drove to Houston and stayed for six whole days and it was awesome having her here. Christy and Dubbs had some quality time together and we had some really great sister time, too...incredible food, good wine and great conversation. My sister and I used to fight like cats and dogs, but we have really grown into ourselves and our relationship. Now we absolutely cherish our friendship and I definitely consider her one of my best friends. We really miss you around here Christy; come back soon!

After she left, my Dad and Step-Mom came to visit for a night on their way to go see Christy in Florida. Dalton had a blast playing with Meemaw and Grandad Bill. Their visit was short, but fun at the same time. We had a nice dinner and talked "catch-up", then I fixed a big breakfast on Thursday morning before seeing them off.

Friday afternoon Nick, Dalton and I were on our way to McKinney to see Kennedy and the rest of Team Palmer. Kennedy has been in San Diego all summer with her Dad, so we haven't seen her in months!
We had fun playing some Hold 'Em on Friday night, Nick did especially well and it was well into Saturday morning before the game was over. We spent Saturday catching up on sleep and watching the kids play together before heading to a cookout with Kyle and Jammi's friends...thanks again guys for inviting us along, we had a great time!

I am only sorry I didn't get more pictures over the last couple of weeks. But that's the way it always seems to go!
