Congratulations Christy!
Wow! I am so proud of my little sister for completing law school at FSU. It was a rough three years...for her, and for her support network. But she did it and I couldn't be happier for her. My parents, Nick, Dalton and I all went to Florida this past weekend to help her celebrate her accomplishment and watch her walk the stage. What a great time! After my boys got over the horrible plague that almost killed one of them (a story all of it's own, but I won't be divulging all the details, trust me it would be TMI), we all boarded a plane on Friday afternoon for our weekend get-away.
It was Dalton's first time on a plane, and I think it was everything he'd hoped for. He was absolutely perfect had a blast. He was such a big boy and insisted on wheeling his own suitcase through the airport. But, he was not happy when he had to turn it over before boarding the plane. One other thing he wasn't too happy about was going through security. They made him take off his shoes and that's one thing he really doesn't stand for these days. But after they determined we were not terrorists, the rest of the trip was a breeze.
Saturday was spent at graduation and a celebration bbq afterwards where we all just visited, ate, drank and had a perfect afternoon enjoying the beautiful weather in Tallahassee (no joke, it really was wonderful weather!)
Then Sunday we headed back to Jacksonville to catch our flight home, but first we stopped off at my Uncle's condo on Jax Beach. We all played for a while at the beach, had some lunch and a long overdue visit with Uncle Phil, Marie and Rachel before heading to the airport. Thank you guys for having us over...we will definitely be back soon for a real vacation and not just a day visit.
