Thanks to Mothers of The Woodlands! I found this group online of Mothers (mostly SAHMs) in the area where we live. It is a place for stay-at-home moms (and working moms) to meet each other and plan activities for themselves and their children. Because of this website, Dalton and I have joined playgroups on Mondays & Thursdays and are starting to make some friends...finally! We went to our first playgroup yesterday and had a really great time. There were three other kids - a 14 month old and 15 month old twins (one boy, one girl). Dalton had so much fun and I have to say it was really nice to hang out with other moms who don't know many people here either. It turns out there are a lot of us out here, and because of the MOTW website, we are starting to come together!

I have also joined a Bible study on Wednesday mornings called "When the Boxes are Unpacked". It is for women who are new to the area and having a hard time adjusting. I know we've been away for two years and in this area for one, but it still feels new and scary. Nick and I went to check out the church that holds the study this past Sunday...we LOVED it! We will definitely be going back together on Sundays, and Dubbs and I will be there on Wednesday mornings, too.

There is, however, one thing I don't think we'll ever get used to as long as we live here...we don't get the Cowboy games!!! They're always on an obscure sports channel in the 800s that we have to pay a ridiculous upgrade fee every month to get. Completely crazy! Guess we'll just be spending Sunday afternoons at Buffalo Wild Wings so we can watch our Boys.
