The Shoffners enter the world of blogging...

My sister-in-law has been blogging for many months now and she really enjoys it. And I (along with many others) really enjoy reading her blog every week. She has encouraged those of us who enjoy her blog so much to start our own. After a lot of procrastinating I have decided to give it a try. It is some time around 1:00 AM and after tossing and turning for a few hours I decided to get out of bed and do something so I wouldn't keep my poor husband awake. Who knew it would lead me to start a blog? But here we are and we'll see how it goes!

A brief overview of who we are: My husband Nick and I live north of Houston with our amazing little boy Dalton. Nick works for a well known Ophthamology & Refractive Surgery Practice in Houston...he is incredible at what he does and I really admire what a hard, dedicated worker he is. Dalton is home with me a lot of the time, but does go to a babysitter, Miss Susan, a couple of days a week so I can work part-time. I mostly do HR project work (empolyee surveys, online research, etc) that can be done from my home computer, but I also work with Nick some as well. I am responsible for building referral business for the Doctor he works for. We stay busy and spend most weekends traveling to visit friends, family or just get away.

This picture is from Galveston Island where we spent last weekend. My mom came down with my nephew Nolan and we all headed for the beach. Although we didn't spend much time on the beach (if you've ever been to Galveston you understand why) we had a beautiful view from our room and we had an awesome time just "playing" all weekend. We took the kids to a waterpark and Dalton absolutely loved the water. He ran around in the baby pool, slid down water slides, dunked his head, ran under waterfalls and had a blast! It was fun for him to have his big cousin there to share in the experience. Lots of good family time was had and some really great memories were made!

Hope you all enjoy keeping up with us through the blog. I will do my best to keep it updated weekly - if not more often.
